SB Prime's Teresa Blayney gladly opened up her stage and restaurant for the taping of a new Television show called "Rock and Roll Kitchen". Hosted by Andre Schikolenko, of Y108's afternoon drive program and working in conjunction with Co Producer and Director Benjamin Rispin, of 2 time Juno Award Nominee band St.Alvia ,Schikolenko has created a fun and relaxed atmosphere to conduct his rock band interviews. While Primes stage gives the musicians a place to showcase their new songs, the intimate settings of Prime's Tufted Red Leather Booths make the perfect space for his interactive interviews.

For the shows first episode Shikolenko is joined by guest Dean Lickyer, who was recently nominated best band at Canadian Music Week and awarded $10,000.00 by Gene Simmons (of Kiss fame) himself. After going head to head with the band filming the cooking segment of the show next door at the Rude Native, the boys hit the stage at SB Prime and put on amazing acoustic performance of their new song "Witching Hour Moon" from their freshly released self titled EP.

Why Sorbet? PDF Print E-mail

April 12, 2009

One thing you're sure to notice about a typical dinner at SB Prime is that it really is a total dining experience from start to finish.

Chef Peter Wilson oversees every detail and chooses each dish carefully, and to make sure that you get the best taste experience he then separates each dish with a daily selection of hand made sorbet.

Sorbet is a light frozen dish made from water, sugar, fruit and egg white. Sorbet is served between courses to cleanse the palate and separate the tastes of a meal. Citrus or tart raspberry flavoured sorbets are best used to cleanse the palate between strongly flavoured dishes like a fish course and a meat course. At SB Prime you are served the Chefs daily prepared flavoured sorbet between your appetizer and your main entree allowing you to experience superior flavour from start to finish.
